The pre-seen material is your foundation. Develop potential strategic issues, risks, and opportunities. Do not memorize it; internalize it so you can quickly reference it when the unseen material introduces new developments.

While some numerical analysis is often required to support your points, the primary focus is on strategic written analysis and recommendation. Calculations should be relevant, clearly presented, and used to inform your discussion. The exam assesses your ability to interpret numbers and explain their business implications, not just to compute them.

Critical. The exam requires writing substantial responses in a limited time. Allocate time based on the marks available for each requirement. While not a formal requirement, relevant work experience is immensely beneficial. It helps you contextualize the case study challenges and think like a practicing management accountant. If you lack experience, compensate by extensively reading business analyses, annual reports, and case studies to develop commercial awareness and practical insight.
