Elastic Certified Engineer (ECE) Practice Test

The ECE exam is a 100% performance-based, practical test administered remotely via a live, proctored environment. Focus on speed and accuracy in using the Kibana Console for queries and aggregations, the `elasticsearch.yml` file for configuration, and the Elasticsearch APIs for cluster management. Practice common troubleshooting scenarios, index lifecycle management, and security configurations. Official Elastic training courses and practice exams are highly recommended to simulate the exam environment.

Elastic strongly recommends at least 6 months of hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack before attempting the exam. There are no formal mandatory prerequisites, but candidates should be thoroughly proficient in the six core domains: Installing & Configuring nodes and clusters, Indexing Data, Mappings & Text Analysis, Writing Queries, Building Aggregations, and Cluster Administration. Familiarity with Linux command line, JSON, and basic distributed systems concepts is also essential. Many successful candidates first complete the Elastic Certified Analyst certification to solidify their query skills.

The Elastic Certified Engineer credential is valid for three years from the date you pass the exam. To maintain your certified status, you must recertify by passing the current version of the ECE exam before your certification expires.
