TOEIC Speaking and Writing Tests Practice Test

While the TOEIC Listening and Reading Test measures receptive skills (understanding spoken and written English), the Speaking and Writing Tests measure productive skills (creating spoken and written English). They are separate tests that provide a complementary and complete profile of an individual's English communication ability. Many organizations require or recommend scores from both sets of tests for a comprehensive assessment.

Score requirements vary significantly by company, industry, and specific role. TOEIC scores are typically considered valid for two years, reflecting that language proficiency can change over time. The tests are administered on a computer. The Speaking Test is approximately 20 minutes long and includes 11 questions ranging from reading a text aloud to expressing an opinion. The Writing Test is approximately 60 minutes long and includes 8 tasks ranging from writing a sentence based on a picture to crafting an opinion essay. They are often taken in a single session.
