CNOR: Certified Perioperative Nurse Certification Exam Practice Test

To be eligible, you must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in the country where you practice. You must also have a minimum of two years and 2,400 hours of perioperative nursing experience, with a minimum of 50% of your current work hours (or 1,200 hours) spent in the perioperative setting in the two years prior to application. This experience must be in the role of a direct caregiver, manager, educator, or researcher.

The CNOR is a computer-based exam consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions, of which 175 are scored. It is based on a detailed test blueprint covering five major domains: Preoperative Patient Assessment (21%), Planning (23%), Implementation (37%), Evaluation (11%), and Professional Accountability (8%). Questions are designed to assess the application of knowledge in clinical situations, requiring critical thinking and judgment.
