GED Science Practice Test

The exam focuses on two primary domains: Life Science (approximately 40%) and Physical Science (approximately 40%), with Earth and Space Science making up the remaining 20%. The GED Science test is a single-section, computer-based exam lasting 90 minutes. To pass the GED Science test, and to qualify for the overall GED credential, you must achieve a score of at least 145 on a scale of 100-200. The scoring is performance-based: 145 indicates a High School Equivalency level, 165-174 indicates College Ready, and 175+ indicates College Ready + Credit, which may qualify you for college credit at participating institutions.

The GED credential is awarded upon successful completion of four independent subject tests: Science, Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, and Social Studies. While each test is taken and scored separately, they collectively represent the comprehensive skills of a high school graduate. Passing the Science exam is a mandatory component.
