LeSS Practitioner (Large-Scale Scrum) Practice Test

There are no formal prerequisites enforced by the certifying body to sit for the exam. However, it is strongly recommended that candidates have a thorough understanding of Scrum (as per the Scrum Guide) and have attended an official Certified LeSS Practitioner course. LeSS is designed for 2-8 teams working on a single product. LeSS Huge is an extension for product development with more than eight teams. The primary structural addition in LeSS Huge is the introduction of Area Product Owners (APOs) and Area Product Backlogs to help manage the complexity of a very large product. However, LeSS Huge retains the core LeSS principles and aims to minimize additional roles and artifacts, striving to keep the overall framework as simple as possible even at very large scales.

The Overall Retrospective is a critical coordination and improvement event in LeSS. Held after the Sprint Review and before the next Sprint Planning, it involves representatives from all teams and key stakeholders. Its purpose is to inspect and adapt the overall product development system, focusing on cross-team issues, organizational impediments, and the overall process. This event is essential for driving continuous improvement at the multi-team level and is a key mechanism for implementing structural changes to improve the entire system's effectiveness.
