PTE Home Practice Test

PTE Academic is designed for university and higher education admissions worldwide, assessing reading, writing, listening, and speaking. PTE Home is exclusively for UK family and settlement visa applications, approved by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), and tests only speaking and listening skills at CEFR levels A1, A2, or B1. The content for PTE Home is focused on everyday, family, and social contexts relevant to life in the UK.

PTE Home test results are valid for two years from the date of the test, in line with standard UKVI policy for English language certifications. You must use a valid score at the point of submitting your visa application.

The test is scored entirely by artificial intelligence, ensuring objectivity and reliability. There is no single 'passing' grade; instead, you must achieve a score that corresponds to the required CEFR level (A1, A2, or B1) for your specific visa route. Your score report will clearly indicate the CEFR level you have achieved.

You must present the original, valid passport you used to book the test. This is a mandatory UKVI security requirement. No other forms of identification are accepted for PTE Home SELT tests.

Yes, you can retake the exam. However, you must wait until you have received your scores from your previous attempt before booking a new test. It is advisable to use the detailed score feedback to target your preparation before re-testing.
