The C_HANATEC_19 (Technology Associate) certification focuses on the platform's infrastructure, administration, and operations-the 'Technology Consultant' or 'DBA' perspective. It covers installation, security, backup/recovery, system replication, and performance tuning. In contrast, the C_HANAIMP (Application Associate) certification is aimed at developers and modelers, focusing on data provisioning, modeling with Calculation Views, and application development using SQLScript and core data services. They are complementary certifications representing different specializations within the SAP HANA ecosystem.

While traditional SAP Basis knowledge (related to ABAP-based NetWeaver systems) is beneficial for understanding broader SAP landscapes, it is not a direct requirement.
