Generate Practice Questions from a Textbook Chapter
From dense text to focused, testable questions.
Textbooks pack a lot into every chapter. QuizForge isolates the key concepts, definitions, and cause-and-effect relationships from your chapter PDF and turns them into multiple-choice practice questions -- saving you hours of manual flashcard creation.
How it works
- Upload the textbook chapter as a PDFSave the chapter as a PDF (most e-textbook platforms support this) and upload it. Single-chapter uploads give tighter, more focused question sets than whole-book uploads.
- Select question count and difficultyFor chapter quizzes, 20-40 questions at Medium difficulty is a solid starting point. Raise to Hard when preparing for a cumulative exam.
- Review questions and use explanations to learnEach question includes an answer explanation that points back to the core concept, making it easy to link the question back to the relevant section of your textbook.
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload a full textbook rather than one chapter?
You can, but question quality is higher with single-chapter uploads. A whole textbook file may exceed the 5 MB limit and will generate broad questions that are less targeted to specific chapter topics.
Do scanned textbook PDFs work?
Yes, as long as the scan is reasonably clean (300 DPI or better). OCR is applied automatically. Two-column academic layouts are handled, though very small footnote text may occasionally be missed.
Is the textbook PDF stored after I upload it?
Files may be stored to help improve the AI and are covered by our privacy policy. If you prefer not to have your file retained, opt out in your account settings.
How does QuizForge decide what to ask about?
The AI prioritises content with the highest information density: defined terms, stated facts, comparisons, and cause-and-effect relationships. Introductory paragraphs and repeated summaries are weighted less.
Are the questions useful for university-level material?
Yes. QuizForge is used by undergraduate and postgraduate students across science, law, medicine, engineering, and business. The difficulty slider lets you generate questions that match the rigour of your course.
