ASCP Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) Certification Practice Test

Candidates must possess a valid national certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or equivalent, and have a minimum of five years of full-time clinical laboratory experience in blood banking, immunohematology, or transfusion medicine. Alternatively, completion of a CAHEA or CAAHEP-accredited Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) program fulfills the experience requirement. The Blood Banking (BB) certification is a technologist-level credential demonstrating competency in routine blood bank operations.
