RNC-OB: Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification Exam Practice Test

To be eligible, you must hold a current, active RN license in the United States or Canada. You must also have gained a minimum of 24 months of professional nursing experience in an inpatient obstetric setting within the past 48 months, with at least 2,000 hours of direct patient care. Your experience must encompass the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum/newborn periods.

The RNC-OB is a computer-based exam consisting of 175 multiple-choice questions, of which 150 are scored. You will have 3 hours to complete the test. The questions are primarily application and analysis-based, presenting clinical scenarios that require critical thinking to select the best nursing action, interpretation, or priority.
