Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer Practice Test

This certification is ideal for Cloud Network Engineers, Cloud Architects, Network Architects, DevOps Engineers with a networking focus, and Infrastructure Engineers. Their responsibilities include designing VPC architectures, configuring hybrid connectivity via Cloud VPN or Interconnect, implementing load balancing and CDN solutions, managing network security policies, and automating network deployments and operations on Google Cloud.

Google recommends at least 3 years of industry experience, including 1+ years of hands-on experience designing and managing solutions on Google Cloud. Practical experience with GCP networking services like VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud DNS is essential. Candidates should be comfortable using the Google Cloud Console, gcloud CLI, and Terraform for network provisioning and management.

The Associate Cloud Engineer certifies foundational skills to deploy, monitor, and maintain projects on GCP. The Professional Cloud Network Engineer is an advanced, role-based certification focusing exclusively on deep, architectural-level networking expertise. It requires designing, planning, and prototyping complex network infrastructures, which is beyond the scope of the associate-level exam.

Core domains include: Designing, planning, and prototyping a GCP network; Implementing a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with subnets, routes, and firewall rules; Configuring network services (Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN); Implementing hybrid and multi-cloud interconnectivity (Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Network Connectivity Center); and Managing, monitoring, and optimizing network operations (Network Intelligence Center, Cloud Monitoring, VPC Flow Logs).

The exam consists of 50-60 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions to be completed in 2 hours. It is delivered online via remote proctoring or at a test center. Google does not publish an official passing score, as it is scaled and may vary. The focus is on scenario-based questions that test your ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
